UK Rice Research Network (UKRRC) Early Career Researcher Meeting 27-28 February 2020 Sheffield University

From 12:30 on Thursday 27th February to 12.00 on Friday 28th February

Halifax Hall Hotel, Sheffield University Endcliffe Campus Sheffield S10 3ER

This inaugural meeting aims to bring together, for the first time, postdoctoral and PhD researchers working across the UK on all aspects of rice research, ranging from lab-based molecular genetics and stress physiology through to translational aspects of biofuels, crop protection and nutrition.
The focused meeting of up to 40 researchers will provide an opportunity for early career researchers to present their work, discuss the challenges and opportunities of rice research in the UK, and to play a role in setting the agenda of the UK Rice Research Network. The aim is to help create a self-sustaining ECR network where the key researchers working at the bench or in the field get to know and support each other, and to identify what the UK Rice Research Consortium can do to help early career scientists working in this area.
